We would like a church again that asserts that God, not nations, rules the world, that the boundaries of God’s kingdom transcend those of Caesar, and that the main political task of the church is the formation of people who see clearly the cost of discipleship and are willing to pay the price.

Is God a Republican or Democrat?
Although Scripture records God working through pagan rulers, governments, and even political ideologies, they are secondary to God’s locus of activity, which is Israel and the Church. This means that the Church is the primary place by which He is saving the world and where His justice, healing, and peace are flowing and at work.
